Terms of use for arling.sk.

1Provider

The operator of arling.sk and the provider of the services described below is ARLing s. r. o., Company ID 56583486, Tax ID 2122352100, VAT ID SK2122352100 (registered under section 7a of the Slovak VAT Act), registered office at Ivanská cesta 19112/32E, 821 04 Bratislava, Slovak Republic, entered in the Commercial Register of the Municipal Court Bratislava III, section Sro, insert no. 182311/B. Contact: support@arling.sk. By using the website or the services you agree to these terms.

2What we offer

On arling.sk you will find: free browser tools at arling.sk/<tool>/ (for example the doctor tools, the SEPA pain.001 generator, camt.053 to Excel conversion, the payment matcher); Pro licences and subscriptions for some of the tools and services (Bank tools for accountants, ARLing Shopping Assistant, Feed Doctor Monitor Pro), which we sell and which are paid by card through Stripe; the one-off paid service SEPA file check (section 7); desktop and mobile apps in a beta version (Janii for Windows, bookapp for Android and Windows) that are downloaded straight from GitHub Releases; an e-mail list with news; and articles (Notes).

3Free tools

Most free tools run entirely in your browser: files you upload or paste into them are processed on your device and are not sent anywhere. The exception is the e-shop check (Kontrola e-shopu, in Slovak), which sends the web address you enter to our server so that it can check the site; details are on its page and in the privacy policy. The tools need no registration and no account.

4Pro licences and payment through Stripe

Some tools have a paid Pro licence. The licence key is a signed file stored in your browser's localStorage. Licences and subscriptions are sold through the Stripe Managed Payments service. The merchant of record in that service is Sold through Link, LLC, the company that provides it for Stripe: the checkout and the documents are marked "Sold through Link", your card statement shows LINK.COM* ARLING, Link sends you the receipt and the invoice as a PDF, Stripe calculates, collects and remits the VAT, and any refund is paid out through Stripe. ARLing s. r. o. delivers the service and is responsible for its quality; on Stripe's confirmation we issue and verify the licence key. The SEPA file check is not paid through Stripe; it is paid by bank transfer against an invoice after delivery (section 7). Prices on our pages are final, VAT included. Outside the euro area the checkout may show the price converted to your currency; Stripe does the conversion (Adaptive Pricing) and, according to Stripe, its exchange rate includes a fee of 2 to 4 percent, which you do not pay if you choose to pay in euros at checkout. Complaints about the service and refund requests go to support@arling.sk; we submit the refund through Stripe.

5Right of withdrawal

If you are a consumer (a natural person not buying in the course of business), you have the right under the Slovak Consumer Protection Act (Act No. 108/2024 Coll.) to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without giving a reason. Send the withdrawal by e-mail to support@arling.sk or by post to our registered office; you can use our model withdrawal form. We refund the amount paid within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal, using the same payment method you used.

For a Pro licence or subscription we issue the licence key immediately after payment and you can use the licence right away. As a consumer you can withdraw within 14 days of purchase (section 5). For a monthly or yearly subscription we refund the payment within 14 days of purchase on request, without giving a reason: write to support@arling.sk.

For the SEPA file check a special rule in section 7 applies: the service starts as soon as we receive the file, and once the corrected file and the report are delivered the right of withdrawal ends. If you buy as a company or a business, the consumer right of withdrawal does not apply.

6Licence terms and cancelling a subscription

One licence covers one company or one person and you can use it on several of your own devices. The licence cannot be transferred to another person or resold. The licence is monthly or yearly and it expires when the subscription ends. The licence key is tied to a hash of the buyer's e-mail address. The “Bank tools for accountants” bundle contains one licence valid for three tools (SEPA pain.001 Generator, camt.053 to Excel and the payment matcher); SEPA pain.001 Doctor is free and needs no licence.

Subscriptions (Bank tools, ARLing Shopping Assistant, Feed Doctor Monitor Pro) renew automatically, monthly or yearly, until you cancel. You can manage or cancel a subscription at any time in the Stripe customer portal at billing.stripe.com/p/login/3cIaER9M63hNeFcg8B4ko00: enter the e-mail address you used at payment and Stripe sends you a login link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; the service keeps running until then, and already paid periods are not refunded pro rata. If the portal does not work for you, write to support@arling.sk and we cancel the subscription for you.

7SEPA file check

The SEPA file check is a one-off paid service for 149 €, a final price with no further fees and no subscription. You order it through the form on the service page, and we reply by e-mail with instructions for sending us your pain.001 file securely. Within 24 hours of receiving the file we send the corrected pain.001 file and a written report to the e-mail address from the order: what needs fixing in the file, including addresses that are not structured, on which line, and exactly what to send to the vendor of your accounting software. You pay nothing upfront and Stripe is not used for this service: ARLing s. r. o. issues the 149 € invoice only after the corrected file and the written report have been delivered, and you pay it by bank transfer. The check is a format check; it is not tax or legal advice, and a clean result does not guarantee that the bank will accept the payment. A finding that there is nothing to fix in the file is also delivered in writing; the service is then performed and we do issue the 149 € invoice in that case, because the work has been done.

As a consumer you also have the right to withdraw from this service within 14 days (section 5). The service, however, starts as soon as we receive the file. In the e-mail with the instructions we ask for your express consent to the following wording: “I agree that the service starts before the withdrawal period ends and I acknowledge that I lose my right of withdrawal once the corrected file and the report are delivered.” Sending the file starts the service. Once the service has been fully performed, that is once the corrected file and the report have been delivered, the right of withdrawal ends under Act No. 108/2024 Coll. If you withdraw before we deliver the corrected file and the report, we do not issue an invoice and you pay nothing.

If we do not deliver the corrected file and the report within 24 hours of receiving the file, or if we cannot fix the file, we do not issue an invoice and you pay nothing. Report an error in the delivered file or in the report to support@arling.sk; we settle the complaint within 30 days at the latest. We use the file only for this check; on our side only ARLing s. r. o. has access to it, and we delete it at the latest 30 days after delivery. Details are on the service page.

The self-service file fix for 29 € in the SEPA pain.001 Doctor tool is digital content delivered immediately: the fixes (addresses split into fields, country codes, IBAN without spaces, recalculated totals) run in your browser and the file downloads right after payment. Before paying you tick your consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge the loss of the right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(m)). If the file does not download after payment or is fixed wrongly, write to support@arling.sk; we fix it by hand or refund.

8Beta apps

Janii (Windows) and bookapp (Android, Windows) are preliminary beta versions. They may contain bugs and may stop working once the beta phase ends. They are downloaded straight from GitHub Releases, work offline, need no account and send no telemetry. Back up your own data (for example the library export from bookapp or the selection from Janii), because we are not liable for its loss. Since 27 Sep 2026 Janii is a closed experiment: no support and no further development; the beta ZIP from 4 Sep 2026 stays on GitHub only for existing users.

9Warranty and liability

We provide both the free tools and the beta apps as is, without any warranty. Always check the outputs (bank files, exports, matched payments) before you use them; the responsibility for using them is yours. We are not liable for indirect damage. For paid licences our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us over the last 12 months. This limit does not apply where the law does not allow it, for example to consumers or to damage caused intentionally.

10Prohibited conduct

You must not: attack our services, circumvent licence verification, share or sell licence keys, or make automated, bulk use of our hosted tools beyond ordinary use.

11Intellectual property

The code of the tools is published on GitHub under the licence stated in that repository. The name ARLing and the content of the arling.sk website are our property. The files and data you process or create with the tools and apps stay yours.

12Governing law and dispute resolution

These terms are governed by Slovak law. The contract is concluded in the language of the page on which you ordered the service (Slovak, English or German). Otherwise the courts of the Slovak Republic have jurisdiction.

If you are a consumer and you are not satisfied with how we handled your complaint, or you believe we have breached your rights, first send us a request for redress at support@arling.sk. If we reject it or do not answer within 30 days of sending it, you can file a request for alternative dispute resolution under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll. on alternative resolution of consumer disputes. The alternative dispute resolution body is the Slovak Trade Inspection (soi.sk, alternative dispute resolution); you can also turn to another authorised body on the list kept by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. You keep the right to go to court.

The European Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR) no longer exists: Regulation (EU) 2024/3228 discontinued it and it has been closed since 20 July 2025, so we do not link to it.

13Changes to these terms

We may amend the terms. Each order is governed by the version published at the time of the order. A change that would be less favourable to you is announced on this page at least 30 days before it takes effect; a change in your favour applies from the day it is published. The current version is always the one published here.
