Can shopping agents read your store?

Find gaps in your public product data, product pages and store policies. Get a checklist with sources and specific fixes.

Not Shopify, or a specific product?

Reads public pages only: robots.txt, the home page, up to 20 products from the public export, up to 3 product pages with JSON-LD, policy and contact pages, and an optional llms.txt. Cannot see your private catalog, non-public barcodes, categories or alt text, or how AI assistants behave. Limit: 6 checks per hour per IP, counted by an IP hash, never by the store address. No email; page contents are not saved. We keep no request logs with the store address; Cloudflare, which hosts our server, keeps only error messages, for up to 7 days.

What the result means

We inspect up to 20 public feed products and 3 product pages. Other shops can supply a product URL. The score is the percentage of passed weights among checks we could evaluate. Coverage is the share of scoring weights evaluated. Missing public fields can differ from your private catalog.

What this check cannot establish

No JavaScript rendering, private Shopify Catalog, Merchant Center settings, real bot network access, review authenticity, legal compliance or checkout tests. Description length is a heuristic, not a measure of writing quality. Optional llms.txt, ratings and training-bot preferences carry no penalty.

Before you change your store

Does a high score mean ChatGPT will recommend my products?

No. This tool checks observable data. It does not test ranking, inclusion, paid ads or buyer demand.

Should I unblock every AI bot?

No. Search crawlers, training crawlers and user-triggered fetchers have different roles. Review each preference against its documentation and your policy.

Why are barcode or alt-text checks not verified?

The public Shopify export may omit those fields even when they exist in your admin. Verify the private catalog before changing it.

Does the tool verify customer reviews?

No. It can inspect published rating numbers. Only you can substantiate the underlying reviews. Never add invented ratings.
