01 / Inside the pack
One ID across four formats.
The 25 puzzles are already generated and checked. The downloadable sample contains items 001, 002 and 003 from that same set.
- 25 puzzle SVGs
- Dots and clues on a transparent background. No page numbers, branding or watermark in the artwork.
- 25 solution SVGs
- The same grid with its closed loop drawn. Match the filename to the puzzle ID.
- 50 PNG images
- Separate puzzle and solution images, 1520 × 1520 pixels, with a white background.
- 2 PDF files
- A4 puzzle sheets and matching solutions, 25 pages each, one item per page.
- 25 JSON records
- Clue positions and answer edges for your own layout tools. The format is documented in the README.
- Manifest + README + License
- CSV and JSON indexes, file fingerprints, clue counts, import notes and the Commercial License.
The full pack is 131 files in one ZIP. The sample contains the first three puzzles in all four formats, with manifests and format notes. The sample does not include commercial publication rights.

Try a real file in your layout.
- Open the sample ZIP and place a
-puzzle.svgin your page. - Resize it with its aspect ratio locked. The artwork is square, 760 × 760 SVG units, including a margin around the dots.
- Put the matching
-solution.svgon your answer page. Check the digits and line weights in your exported proof.
The digits are editable text using Arial, Helvetica or your system sans-serif fallback. Fonts are not embedded. SVGs have a transparent background; use a light page behind the black puzzle artwork.
03 / What we checked
A defined set, with a defined test.
Each of the 25 puzzles has exactly one solution according to our solver. We also checked the answer against every clue, and checked that no two items in the pack have the same puzzle or answer.
Pattern is our label for puzzles solved by the engine using local and pattern rules. Its trial layer is disabled. This is a program check, not a difficulty rating from a panel of human solvers.
We compared the set against our current daily Slitherlink archive and existing Otters book. This does not establish worldwide novelty or exclusivity.
What does the Commercial License cover?
Non-exclusive worldwide use in your own books, magazines, newspapers, newsletters and educational materials, with an unlimited number of printed copies. You may not redistribute the SVG, JSON or source pack, resell the pack itself, upload it to a marketplace, or claim authorship of the puzzles.
These rights accompany a purchased pack. The free sample is for evaluation only. The same non-exclusive pack may also be purchased by other publishers.
Is this a generator or a subscription?
No. It is one fixed set of exported puzzle files. Opening the files does not require a generator, an account or an AI service.
Are the samples different from the full pack?
No. They are the first three items from Pattern 01. The preview does not generate new puzzles when you select a different item.
