Thanksgiving Placemats for Kids

• Word search: 8 x 8 letters, 6 Thanksgiving words per placemat (48 words in all), across and down only
• Secret picture: color the squares row by row (Row 3: C to H) to find a pumpkin, an apple, an acorn, a leaf, a slice of pie, a heart, a house or a warm mug
• Draw your plate: an empty plate with a fork and a knife

• Pages 10 to 13: answers, two placemats per page

How the puzzles are checked

Our program builds every maze and word search and a second program checks them: each maze has exactly one path, each word appears exactly once in the grid (we check all 8 directions), the grid has no rude words hidden by chance, and each secret picture is rebuilt from the printed row instructions to make sure it matches.

Who it is for

Kids at the Thanksgiving or Friendsgiving table, school parties and family dinners. Suggested ages about 5 to 10; that is our estimate, and younger kids may need a grown up for the word search and the secret picture. Text is in English (American spelling).

Print at 100% / Actual size; the pages are already set up in landscape. Black and white, made to be colored in. You may print as many copies as you need for your family or your classroom. Please do not share or resell the file.
