Inside the book

  • 100 word searches on 15 x 15 grids with big letters (10 mm cells, letters about 17 pt)
  • 22 words in every puzzle, listed under the grid with a tick box for each
  • Words run in all eight directions: across, backwards, up, down and diagonally
  • 100 themes, for example Garden, Birds, Baking, Travel, Trees, Weather, Trains, Chess and Yoga
  • A list of all 100 themes you can click in the PDF, and a How to play page with an example
  • All 100 solutions at the back, four per page, with every word circled

How the puzzles are made

Our program places the words and then checks every grid in all eight directions: each word in the list is hidden exactly once, and no word in a list is part of another. The same grids are used in both paper sizes. A few words use British spelling, for example CHILLI, OMELETTE and LASAGNE.

Who it is for

Adults and seniors who enjoy word searches and prefer big, clear letters. A calm activity for home, a waiting room or a care home. Text is in English.

Printing

Print at 100% / Actual size. Black ink is enough; the circles in the solutions and a few headings are red. You may print as many copies as you need for yourself, your family, your classroom or your activity group. Please do not share or resell the file.

Before you buy.

How do I get the files?

No physical book is shipped. After Etsy confirms payment, download your files from Purchases and reviews on Etsy.com in a web browser; downloads are unavailable in the Etsy app. Guest buyers can use the download link in their Etsy receipt email.

Which files do I get?

Two files: ARLing-Large-Print-Word-Search-100-A4.pdf and ARLing-Large-Print-Word-Search-100-US-Letter.pdf. The same pages in A4 and US Letter, so you print the one that matches your paper.

What if a file does not open or print?

For a file or printing problem, send an Etsy Message with your order number, file name and the error you see. Do not send card or payment details.
