A calm word game for Android: swipe across the letters, find the hidden words, earn coins for every level and spend them on highlighter styles. The film is drawn and scored in code, right here in your browser.
Sound starts only after you tap. It pauses when you scroll away.
What the film shows.
- A 6 by 6 letter board on warm paper, three words already highlighted. A finger swipes across the top row and finds daisy, and the letters rise in a small wave. The name Word Search and the lines: Find a word. Find your flow. Calm word puzzles in 150 topics.
- The highlights fade. The board of the Garden topic grows to the middle, with four words to find below it: daisy, fern, rose and tulip.
- Swipe across the letters to find a word. The finger traces tulip, each letter with its own note, and the letters it has picked show in a small pill above the board.
- Later levels hide words in all eight directions. The finger finds fern on a diagonal, then rose running upward and daisy across the top.
- Confetti, and a card: Level complete. Every word found. Plus 15 coins, counted out one by one, and the coins below the board go from 50 to 65.
- Coins unlock new highlighter styles. The four highlights turn to Chalk, Marker, Stitch and Ribbon, then back to Classic.

The board in the film is ours, drawn in code, with words from the game's Garden topic. The colours, the Nunito font, the six highlighter styles, the letter pill, the confetti and the 15 coins for an ordinary level come from the game's own code. The four words run in four directions to show them all at once; in the game, diagonals join at level 4 and backwards words at level 13.
About Word Search.
Word Search: Calm Word Puzzles is our word game for Android. Find hidden English words in 150 topics, play a daily puzzle, walk thirty named chapters and earn coins for finished levels. Coins unlock five highlighter styles on top of the free Classic one. Puzzles play offline and need no account. The game is free and contains ads: occasional ones between finished levels, never while you select a word, and optional ones you can watch for extra coins.
Word Search is coming soon to Google Play. It is not in the store yet, so there is no store link on this page. Its privacy policy is already published. Until then, our free daily logic puzzles run in your browser today.
How the film is made.
There is no video file on this page. Every frame is drawn on a canvas by a small script, and every sound, from the first chime to the chord at the end, is synthesised by Web Audio in your browser after you tap. No screen recording, no photo, no picture generator. The same script renders the film frame by frame into videos for YouTube and Instagram.
It is built to be light: what does not move is drawn once and reused, the film stops when it ends, when you scroll away or switch tabs, and it shows a still picture if your device asks for reduced motion. The Nunito font is used under the SIL Open Font License. Questions: andrej@arling.sk.
