What the film shows.
- Gems drop into a 5 by 5 grid on a dark blue background, each diagonal with its own note, and build a solved board next to the name Prism 5 and the line: Five gems. One daily grid. Each gem once in every row and column. A wave of light runs across it.
- Nine gems pop out and sixteen stay: the puzzle. The board moves to the middle. Every row and every column holds each gem once.
- The board dims except one row. Where can the star go in this row? It has four free cells. Beams of light run along the columns of three stars already on the board and rule out three of them. Only one place is left for the star, and it drops in.
- The last gems fill the board and a wave of light runs across the solved grid.

The grid in the film is a valid solution under the rules of Prism 5: each gem once in every row and every column. Which sixteen gems stay as the puzzle is ours, chosen for the film, and the star step is a real deduction: every other free cell of that row already shares a column with a star.

How the film is made.
There is no video file on this page. Every frame is drawn on a canvas by a small script, and every sound, from the first chime to the chord at the end, is synthesised by Web Audio in your browser after you tap. No photo, no recording, no picture generator. The same script renders the film frame by frame into a video for YouTube and Google Play.
It is built to be light: what does not move is drawn once and reused, the film stops when it ends, when you scroll away or switch tabs, and it shows a still picture if your device asks for reduced motion. Questions: andrej@arling.sk.
