A set turns green when you have solved all of it, and the dot in its corner means every wood in it went clean, with no hint and no check.
Easy.
Six by six. Every wood here can be solved with the plain layer 1 rules: the last empty hollow of a run, a total that can only be made one way, and the single number both crossing runs still allow.
Medium.
Eight by eight. The same rules, with more runs crossing each other before a wood opens up.
Hard.
Ten by ten. Patterns inside a run and, sometimes, a one step trial before it opens up.
