E-ink template, on Etsy

Kindle Scribe Notebook Template, 120 Numbered Journal Pages with Linked Index.

A numbered journal for an e-ink tablet with a pen, in the three rulings people argue about: lined, dotted and blank. The index at the front has a line for every page in the book and the number beside it is a link, so you write what is on a page once and can jump to it from then on. Writing pages carry their own number and links to the index and adjacent pages where present.

  • Five downloads, 126 pages in every one of the nine PDF files inside them:
  • Journal-Lined-eink.pdf, Journal-Dotted-eink.pdf and Journal-Blank-eink.pdf, page size 157 x 210 mm, the 3:4 shape of a large e-ink screen (0.44, 7 and 0.34 MB)
  • Journal-A4-3-rulings.zip (8.98 MB) and Journal-Letter-3-rulings.zip (8.98 MB), the same three rulings laid out for paper

How to get it on your device.

Download the files on a computer or a phone, unzip the print archives, and import the PDF using your reader manufacturer's supported workflow. A PDF reader with annotation support is required for handwriting; typing requires a reader that supports PDF text form fields. No ARLing account is required.

What we have not tested.

We have not tested these files on a physical e-ink tablet. Page counts, internal links and form fields have been checked in the finished PDFs. Writing, typing, navigation and import behaviour depend on the PDF reader and device; compatibility with a particular device is not guaranteed.
